We Are:

College Central is the Pupil Referral Unit for East Sussex, and part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust. Our outcomes place us as one of the highest achieving PRU’s in the country and as part of our multi-academy trust we form a group of high achieving Good and Outstanding specialist provision. Offering provision to over 100 students across our sites in Hastings and Eastbourne we are a supportive team with strong structures and high expectations.

You Are:

An outstanding teacher with leadership experience in mainstream or special settings. You will have a flair for communication with staff, students and all stakeholders. You will have a clear vision for developing protocols and systems across our complex organisation and an ability to analyse data and to turn your analysis into meaningful change for the school. You will be effective in managing challenging behaviour and working with staff and parents to maintain high standards of engagement and outcomes. You will be a team player, with resilience and a well-developed sense of humour

The Job:

The role involves taking strategic responsibility for Attendance, Student Engagement, Parental Engagement,management of the safeguarding team and CPD . There is also an operational responsibility for the Eastern Half of our provision (Hastings sites) and line management across core subjects.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
