Benefits Assessment Officer In this customer-focused role you will decide claims for Housing and Council Tax Benefit/ Council Tax Reduction Scheme. The post involves decision-making and scheme administration combined with working with the public. You will have excellent communication and customer care skills, be IT literate and able to work quickly and accurately under pressure. You will have a working knowledge of the Housing and Council Tax Benefit scheme and a proven ability to understand and apply new and complex information and regulations. Previous experience within a Benefits environment is desirable, however training will be provided.
