The Big Lottery Fund is investing up to £112 million over eight years to improve the lives of people with multiple and complex needs, by enabling better blended services. As well as supporting people, the funding will evidence more effective and efficient ways for designing, commissioning and delivering support services.

The project will operate in Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne and Hastings.

Ideally a specialist nurse at band 6, experienced social worker or possessing a similar professional background in a relevant field.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual to work with some of the most complex and disengaged women identified as having multiple and complex needs whose needs are either not being met by existing services or who are not accessing existing services with the aim of providing a transition into mainstream services. The Specialist Worker, Women, will be embedded within the local delivery team delivering the Fulfilling Lives programme. The post holder will report to the Area Lead for the local Fulfilling Lives delivery team, whilst retaining clinical supervision and professional support via CRI.   The post holder will need to evidence experience of working in the field of multiple and complex needs including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health or offending, alongside a professional clinical background. It would be advantageous to have an understanding of some of the specific needs of women experiencing multiple issues who have had children taken into care, are in abusive/ violent relationships, are not engaged in sexual health, and may have had repeat pregnancies, terminations and miscarriages. We are looking for emotional resilience, a commitment to assertive practice and a solution focussed approach to overcoming barriers to services and engagement.

CRI takes an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to best safeguarding practice.

Closing date: 12 noon 10th September 2014 Interview date: 19th - 26th September 2014
