Children's Services Caseworker - Duty and Assessment

East Sussex County Council Children's Services require a Children's Services Caseworker to work in their busy Duty and Assessment Team 0-11 based in Eastbourne.

The core functions of the Duty Service are working with vulnerable children and their families, responding to safeguarding referrals and undertaking appropriate assessments.  The main tasks of the Children's Services Case Workers are to be the first point of contact for referrers, check the social care data base, record client information and provide advice guidance and initial response in consultation with professionally qualified Social Workers as appropriate.  Successful candidates will have good communication skills, ability to work independently and within a team and experience of working with children and families.
