Post 1: Teaching Assistant 2 24 hours per week, term time only We urgently require a Teaching Assistant for our Turn Around provision. Turn Around reduces permanent exclusions to a minimum by securing inclusive learning opportunities for pupils who are struggling to maintain appropriate behaviour in and around school. This is achieved by focussing on providing a holistic approach encompassing pastoral work, a structured learning environment and developing strategies for individuals to manage their own behaviour. You will have the ability and commitment to work with vulnerable and challenging pupils in a calm, compassionate and consistent manner. You will assist the manger in staffing the Internal Exclusion Provision, maintain regular contact with parents, carers, tutors, HOD's, attendance team, external agencies and class teachers. Post 2: Teaching Assistant 318 hours per week, term time only ReStart is a provision for a small group of pupils who have become 'stuck' and need something different to help them get back on track in School. Experienced members of staff will deliver English and Mathematics to these pupils, and project work exploring wider aspects of the curriculum with an emphasis on self reflection and life skills will be delivered by the successful candidate. ReStart runs on different timings from our usual school day. The successful applicant should be able to engage with your people in particular those with behavioural difficulties, have experience of working in a school context, have experience of developing project based work and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Post 3: Teaching Assistant 224 hours per week, term time only Are you committed, outgoing, positive and self motivated? Are you interested in developing your skills in an educational environment?
