Required January 2015 Salary: TMS or Unqualified + TLR if qualified assessor The Bishop Bell CE School requires for January 2015 a teacher to plan and deliver Child Care courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and delivery of child care lessons based on CACHE syllabuses and will need to visit external settings and will therefore need to hold a full driving licence. The Early Years Department is well established. It extends across Key Stages 4 and 5. The Department uses placements in local nurseries and schools to apply knowledge and practical skills. It features mixed ability option groups of pupils in each of Years 9, 10 and 11. Key Stage 4 pupils study for the CACHE Level 2 Award and are encouraged to use their vocational work experience week to experience working in an early years setting.   At Post-16, trainees study towards their intermediate apprenticeship in Child Care in their first year before progressing onto their advanced apprenticeship which culminates at the end of the second year.  This is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their teaching career as part of a department with excellent facilities and a proven track record of success.
