Independent Reviewing Officers play a key role in achieving good outcomes for the children and young people in our care and in need of safeguarding. In addition to chairing Looked After Children Reviews and Child Protection Conferences this position provides the opportunity for driving forward the quality assurance framework. You will have a pivotal role in ensuring high quality service delivery that is outcome focussed, reflects the wishes and views of children and young people and maximises their potential to influence planning. You will bring relevant managerial experience and skills in complex decision making, direct work with children and families and working with partner agencies. We value innovative and forward-thinking initiatives based on a sound knowledge of the national policy and legislation that underpins the work we do. This is supported through the comprehensive and progressive programme for training and professional development we offer. The position requires a professional qualification in social work and current HCPC registration.
