INFORMATION CENTRE MANAGER Eastbourne is one of the UK's leading tourist resorts, with tourism worth over £343m to the local economy. Situated in the town centre, our vibrant, busy Tourist Information Centre deals with 285,000 customers per year and during the summer we operate on a seven day week to welcome our visitors. In this busy customer service role, you will manage the day to day operation of the Tourist Information Centre. You will be responsible for managing the team of Information Assistants and ensuring the efficient and helpful information service to members of the public. Aiming to generate maximum income from sales of publications and souvenirs you will ensure the most effective use of the Centre's space, developing eye-catching displays and creating an appropriate environment for visitors. Having successfully worked in a customer facing environment and with retail experience, you will have excellent customer care, interpersonal and communication skills. With demonstrable team leadership experience you will be well organised, proactive in your approach to problem solving and be able to perform efficiently under pressure. You will be self-motivated and confident in working under your own initiative.
Hours of work : 30 hours per week Fixed term for : 2 years Closing Date : Sunday 9 November 2014 Interview Date : Friday 14 November 2014
Your starting salary will be pro rata £17285 - £18801 pa as the position is part-time for a 30 hour working week. You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
