We are looking for a Maths specialist with ideas, initiative and ambition to inspire our students.   You will join a forward thinking and supportive Maths team. You will be responsible for raising standards and aspirations whilst playing a pivotal role in the development of the Maths curriculum at one of the most exciting times in the school's history.  You will be expected to lead the Maths team to further improve the quality of provision here at Cavendish School. You will also be expected to be involved in exploring the development of the Maths curriculum for an all through school as we seek to become the first such establishment in East Sussex. Our results in Maths are consistently good and we are confident that we can improve our results to become outstanding. Cavendish is a popular and successful school. Our drive on school improvement in the last 3-4 years has been stunning. Our headline figure for 5 A* to C grades in English and Maths has increased from 45% to 62% in 2014. Our most recent Ofsted Report in 2011 stated " Improving attainment and progress and the support and respect given to students underpin the good quality of education provided here." Our School is located in a pleasant residential area and enjoys views of the South Downs.
