Required from either Easter 2015 or September 2015 We are seeking to employ a dynamic new Teacher of Mathematics who has a passion for Maths and enthusiasm for teaching to join our friendly and successful Mathematics Department. The Mathematics Department at The Bishop Bell CE School is an extremely successful department within the School. The end of Key Stage 3 results for the past few years have been consistently above 80% at level 5+. GCSE results are equally impressive with the results in recent years between 70% and 73% A* - C. This follows the trend of year on year improvement. The department facilities comprise of a suite of rooms each equipped with Promethean interactive whiteboards. Mathematics staff teach across the full age and ability range and are encouraged to be creative and inspiring to meet the needs and challenges of all pupils. The Department is looking to build further success through innovative, imaginative lessons which incorporate both challenges, functional skills and investigative problem solving; and thereby encompassing progress for all learners. We have strong links with our primary feeder schools, and offer Mathematics Master Classes for years 5 and 6. At Key Stage 4 all pupils follow the Edexcel linear examination. We further challenge pupils studying the Edexcel Certificate of Mathematics.
