Salary£31,324-£36,451 - depending on clinical specialism/grade 37.5 hours per weekContract type The Big Lottery Fund is investing up to £112 million over eight years to improve the lives of people with multiple and complex needs, by enabling better blended services. As well as supporting people, the funding will evidence more effective and efficient ways for designing, commissioning and delivering support services.  The project will operate in Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne and Hastings and will be delivered by different delivery partners in each area with BHT being the lead organisation for the South East Partnership.  2 year fixed term contract, secondments welcome. 37.5 hours per week, based in Eastbourne. One of the key purposes of this project is to provide personalised and targeted interventions. Working hours will therefore be highly flexible to best meet needs of service users. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in the field - mental health, substance misuse / dual diagnosis, homelessness, criminal justice. The ideal candidate should possess a similar professional background in a relevant field; a social work or nursing qualification would be preferred.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual to work with some of the most complex and disengaged individuals identified as having a dual diagnosis whose needs are either not being met by existing services or not accessing existing services with the aim of providing a transition into mainstream services. The Specialist Worker will be embedded within the local delivery team delivering the Fulfilling Lives programme. You will carry a small caseload of individuals fitting the project criteria and provide bespoke interventions with the aim of bringing about real improvements for the most entrenched and complex clients. The post holder will need to evidence experience of working in the field of multiple and complex needs including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health or offending, preferably alongside a professional clinical background. We are looking for emotional resilience, a commitment to assertive practice and a solution focussed approach to overcoming barriers to services and engagement. We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice.
