Pashley Down is a popular three-form entry Infant school that serves the Old Town community of Eastbourne.  We are nestled against the Downs, and our learning environment is beautiful (we even have our own woodland!).  We have a mix of pupils from a range of backgrounds – the children are keen to learn and to take part in all the school has to offer. 

Owing to the retirement of our much-loved deputy, the Governing Body is looking to appoint someone who would look forward to becoming a key member of our new Leadership Team.

We require a leader with exemplary teaching skills, who is able to develop, motivate and inspire others.  As the main responsibility of this post is ‘Attainment and Standards’, you will need to have experience of developing teaching, a thorough knowledge of assessment, and a passion for the curriculum.

This is a full time post, mainly non-class based but with a one day a week teaching commitment.  The deputy will be expected to lead a Year Group; initially this will be in Reception, but the successful applicant will also need to have the skills to lead any Year Group in Key Stage 1.
