Both Eastbourne Borough Council and Lewes District Council share an ambition to invest in asset management, challenging the future use, performance and management of its combined asset base.
Working within the Corporate Property team, your role will include implementing the Asset Challenge programme, utilising development opportunities and reviewing the Councils’ Asset Management Plan.
This is a dynamic post with responsibility for an exciting programme of transition to a corporate landlord model, driving out savings, improving performance and quality of service to client departments.
Well organised and self motivated, you will have demonstrable experience of asset management within the public sector. This will include the ability to identify, resource and realise opportunities to add value or reduce cost to both the operational and non operational asset base.
You will have experience of implementing change within asset management, including the introduction of Property Information Management Systems. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact confidently with client departments, members, statutory bodies and other stakeholders.
The Councils operate an agile working policy.
