East Sussex Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service is seeking to recruit an experienced social worker to lead support and challenge regarding safeguarding for all East Sussex schools.

You will work in tandem with educational professionals to conduct safeguarding practice reviews in schools and lead the planning and delivery of a new programme of training and development for school leaders and Designated Child Protection Teachers.

Based in the beautiful county of East Sussex, the Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service offers school improvement and training opportunities to a wide range of schools, academies, colleges and settings.

This new post provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant difference to safeguarding practice in educational settings.  The schools' safeguarding officer will work alongside a committed team of educational managers and consultants in the Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service, as well as social care colleagues within Children's Services Safeguarding Unit.
