HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT (HLTA) or SENIOR TEACHING ASSISTANT WISHING TO TAKE THE HLTA QUALIFICATION to work exclusively within the English Department.

Single Status Grade 8 (21,639 - 23,372 pa pro rata) if you already hold the HLTA qualification or Single Status Grade 5 (16,708 - 17,714 pa pro rata) for candidates not currently qualified as an HLTA but who would be prepared to undertake this qualification.

37 hours per week term time only

The Bishop Bell Church of England School would like to welcome an accomplished HLTA / candidate training towards this qualification, to apply for a role supporting our English Department. 

The primary purpose of the HLTA is to compliment the professional work of qualified teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities and playing a significant role in the planning, delivery and marking of learning activities and those of the teaching assistant team.

The post holder will also support our SENCO who is the line management of other teaching assistants.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to support pupils and teachers to inspire a love of learning and a passion to succeed. They will be familiar with the English curriculum and the main teaching methods as well as the testing / examination frameworks in English.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, successful applicants will need to undertake a DBS enhanced clearance for ESCC.
