We are looking to appoint several exceptional candidates to the positions of Teacher of Mathematics for our new and expanding 4-19 free school.

Two of these positions carry with them the potential for leadership responsibility as Teachers Responsible for Upper School Mathematics (Years 9 11) and for Middle School Mathematics (Years 7 8)

Our Outstanding Ofsted judgement (June 2015) was only the start of the story. The challenge is to sustain and embed this excellence through every aspect of Gildredge House as it grows to full capacity in 2018/19.

At Gildredge House we are aspiring towards specialist status in Science and Technology, which we understand to cover the STEAM subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. The core position and popularity of Mathematics in our growing school mean that each year we need to add significantly to our already strong team. In all for September 2016 we require at least 2.8 FTE teachers, which gives scope for both full and part-time appointments. There is also scope for the 0.8FTE position to become full-time if combined with a complementary subject.

In September 2015, Gildredge House opened its Sixth Form and immediately attracted a large number of students to study Sciences and Mathematics at A Level. We have once again attracted a strong cohort of A Level Mathematics students for September 2016, which means that we ideally need strong A Level and GCSE teacher. This is an exciting time to join our Outstanding Mathematics Department, with opportunities for professional development in the company of excellent practitioners. If you have the ability to teach your subject(s) to A Level, you will immediately find yourself engaged with talented, hard-working and committed students with a desire to take their learning to the highest level.

As an all-through school, our teachers also have the opportunity to engage with and enhance the primary Mathematics curriculum. If you have additional experience in this phase of education, we are keen to hear from you.
