About the Role
Neighbourhood Advisor (Operations)
As a member of the multi-skilled Neighbourhood First Team you will provide a rapid response (low level) fixing and maintenance service across the Borough and housing estates. This will involve removing graffiti or obstacles, undertaking minor repairs, overseeing small works and supporting the Neighbourhood First team when a vehicle or tools are required.
You will be involved in the control of nuisance pests, undertaking sampling, disinfestations and disinfectant treatments required to maintain public health. You will also ensure the smooth running of the council’s car parks and carry out a range of patrols in all weathers.
You will be self motivated and well organised with good communication skills and the ability to use your initiative. You will have a strong commitment to providing service excellence and basic building and maintenance skills and experience. A clean driving licence and the ability to work a flexible shift pattern including weekends, bank holidays and early mornings are essential.
