About the Role
Your role will be to support the Exchequer Manager to deliver a cost effective purchase to pay system and sundry debt collection service. You will ensure that suppliers are paid correctly and on time; that all sundry debt due to the Council is collected; and complete tax payment and returns to HM Revenue and Customs. This includes the accurate and timely inputting of supplier invoices, payment requests and expenses data; raising sundry debt invoices; investigating and resolving payment and debt queries; and supporting and assisting the training of colleagues using the systems.
A team player, with experience of working in a financial environment and using financial systems to input data, you will have the ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines. Excellent keyboard, communication and customer service skills are required as well as numeracy and accuracy.
