About the Role

Hazel Court is an exciting and dynamic East Sussex County Council maintained special school for pupils with severe and profound learning disabilities. There are two departments that are co-located with The Causeway Secondary School and Sussex Downs College.

We are a dedicated team and passionate about the work we do to get the best possible outcomes for our learners.

The successful candidate will:-

Be responsible for income generation, financial planning, monitoring and reconciliation of budgets, preparation and reporting of financial returns and accounts to ensure the school operates within budgetary constraints and in accordance with regulatory requirements and time scales.

Manage recruitment and personnel issues in accordance with regulatory and County Councils Schools Personnel policy requirements.

Work with the site staff and external agencies to co-ordinate premises, maintenance and services to the school.

Manage the school administrative, communications and ICT functions ensuring records are maintained, and management information, school records and publications are produced within required timescales.

Have ongoing professional development and training as part of a school team and have support from the East Sussex financial services to schools, business manager forums and related external meetings.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
