About the Role

Ready, skilled and grow!

My name is Beth and I helped Betty to get back on her feet following a fall so she could see her friends. I was a JCR Support Worker and now I am a JCR Senior Support Worker monitoring clients are achieving their goal and developing my staff team.

I’m Tom and I didn’t know what I wanted to do as a career. I started as a JCR Support Worker helping people like Betty get independent and I enjoyed being part of their successful rehabilitation. I then became a Therapy Assistant and have just qualified as an Occupational Therapist. JCR gave me a choice of career pathways that I had never considered.

Hi my name is Amy and JCR really invested in me with training. I started with no care experience and they gave me a mentor, paid for my training and shadowed me until I felt ready to lone work. My confidence grew and now I am applying for Social Worker study placements.

A JCR Support Worker lets you see a variety of roles so you can decide your next step in the career ladder whilst helping people like Betty stay independent. No previous work experience in care required. We will reward your hard work with a competitive benefits package. You will need to have access to a car and driving licence and be willing to work every other weekend.

So what do we ask of you?

- Have passion and enthusiasm ready to support people to wash and dress themselves independently so they can stay at home

- Be able to encourage and motivate people to follow their exercise programme

- Be able to show compassion and want to help your local community

- Come eager and ready to learn new skills

- Be flexible to meet the demands of a service that changes regularly

Are you ready to get skilled and grow with JCR?

If you answered YES, you could be part of the team as a Support Worker in the Joint Community Rehabilitation Service.

Why not attend one of our recruitment days to find out more about what we do, meet members of the team and what development and career pathway we can offer you? They are on:

- Wednesday 18 May at 11.00am – 4.00pm at Chapel Room at Bexhill Hospital, Hollier’s Hill, Bexhill-on-Sea, TN40 2DZ

- Monday 23 May at 11.00am – 4.00pm at Phoenix Centre, 26 Malling Street, Lewes, BN7 2RD

- Friday 27 May at 11.00am - 4.00pm at Park Practice, 9 Broadwater Way, Eastbourne, BN22 9PQ

We would appreciate a call to let us know if you plan to drop in so that we can cater to expected numbers.

We look forward to growing your skills!
