About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner (Social Work) to join the Eastbourne / South Wealden Case Management Team.

You will be part of a busy, dynamic and established team, providing supervision to Social Workers and Resource Officers, managerial oversight of complex case work, striving to provide positive outcomes for people with assessed care and support needs and join the Senior Practitioner Duty Rota.

You should have in depth experience of risk assessment, complex case management work, and have a good knowledge base and understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures. Experience of supervision of staff is desirable.

Safeguarding Adults is a major part of the role, where you will be risk assessing initial concerns and overseeing the management of safeguarding enquires, fostering an outcomes approach to safeguarding work.

Additional Information

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
