Job Details

Hours of work: 37 hours per week Working pattern: Full-time

Fixed term from August 2016. Contract terms to be agreed with successful applicants.

About the Role

The opportunity for a summer placement has arisen with an established protected landscape partnership either for students in their summer break or recent graduates.

We are looking for someone with to assist with GIS data creation, collection and quality assurance including the digitisation of historic maps and field survey records. Some experience of using ESRI or QGIS required. Additional training available.

The High Weald AONB Partnership is based in Flimwell (near Tunbridge Wells), East Sussex. All applicants must be able to travel to this location.

local authorities and Defra to provide advice on the conservation of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), an exceptionally beautiful medieval landscape covering 1461 sq km across the counties of East and West Sussex, Kent and Surrey, which is protected by law as one of England’s finest landscapes.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
