About the Role

Care for the Carers is seeking to recruit a Development Officer, to take a key role in building projects, tools and connections to better support unpaid carers. Working with colleagues from Health, Social Care and within our teams, you will kick start projects that respond to carers’ needs, as well as contributing to ongoing monitoring and evaluation.

You will help us build Carer Friendly Communities in East Sussex by growing our network of community contact points, making services more accessible to carers and increasing our profile. The successful applicant will thrive on communicating across organisations, sectors and communities and creating meaningful, productive working relationships with a wide range of partners.

This is currently a fixed term role until the end of September 2017, with the scope to be extended subject to funding.

The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with excellent IT and organisational skills.

As you will be required to travel within East Sussex, being a car driver is essential. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
