About the Role

SWIFT Specialist Intervention Worker (SWIFT- Sexual Risk Theme)

SWIFT is an innovative specialist assessment and intervention service working with families with complex needs reporting to court and safeguarding plans. Our service is multi-disciplinary and includes, amongst others, social workers, mental health nurses, probation officers, psychiatrists and psychologists.

We are looking to recruit an experienced practitioner for a challenging post within the sexual risk theme of SWIFT, delivering individual and family interventions for children and young people who have been sexually abused and/or exploited. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of sexual abuse and offending and significant experience in working within the field of sexual abuse. They will have experience in undertaking assessment, delivering interventions and providing consultation to other professionals.

We are inviting suitably skilled and experienced practitioners with relevant expertise to apply for these posts. You will be required to demonstrate excellent intervention expertise that will enhance our highly respected service.

Additional Information

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit.
