About the Role
We are looking for a self-motivated person to assist in the management our St Wilfrid’s Hospice furniture charity shop in Eastbourne.
As the Deputy Furniture Sales Manager, your core areas of responsibility will be to support the manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, co-ordinating volunteer rotas, managing banking and paperwork and ensuring creative and effective merchandising, with a focus on increasing sales and profitability and covering in the manager’s absence. You will also have shared responsibility for the recruitment and training of volunteers and for encouraging donations of stock from the public
Your skills will include excellent customer service, effective team leadership, shop operations and delivery of , this position is for 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. Retail knowledge is essential, as are excellent communication and people skills.
If you have exemplary skills in creating a positive, vibrant retail outlet with an excellent reputation in customer service and producing eye-catching displays, this might be the role for you.
We are offering 27 days annual leave plus entitlement for bank holidays (pro-rata)
