About the Role

Priory is a very successful school, recently graded “Good” by OFSTED in 2015. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake. The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint the following:

A Senior Science Technician. To be responsible to the head of science in coordinating the use of, and development of, practical resources and facilities, including the provision of guidance and support in meeting the practical requirements of the Science curriculum area, including liaising with all areas of the school and outside organisations.

They will also have responsibility for organising the technician team consisting of 1 full time technician, for the delivery of a technical service to the department as a whole. The Science curriculum area has 8 teaching labs, 1 main prep room, 3 store rooms and 11 teaching staff.

This position is for 37 hours per week 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Friday and is term time, plus 5 extra days to be worked in the holidays. The salary is Single Status grade 6/7, Points 14 - 19, 18,394 to 21,250 pro-rata (actual salary 15,946 to 18,422 a year).
