About the Role
We are looking for an imaginative and skilled teacher with aspiration to leadership or who already has experience of leading a department, who is committed to our vision and values and driven by the desire to improve the life chances of young people. The job description and person specification in this pack describe what the post entails and the type of person we are looking for. This is a great opportunity to lead an innovative and successful Art department. Last year 95% of students taking GCSE in Art achieved a C grade or better with 49% achieving an A or A and 91% of students taking GCSE in Art-Textiles achieved a C grade or better with 37% achieving an A* or A. All students at Ratton have Art and Art-Textiles lessons as a regular part of their curriculum at Key Stage 3. Art and Art-Textiles are available as option subjects at Key Stage 4. The Art department comprises five teaching staff working from three dedicated Art rooms and supported by two Art technicians.
