Hours of work: 15.83 hours per week Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata) Fixed term contract will run whilst the child remains at the school

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Individual Needs Assistant working in Year 3 with a child who has ADHD and ASD which causes challenging behaviour and emotional and social needs. We require an individual who is capable of engaging with children in a calm, innovative and resourceful manner.

We are looking to employ someone who:

  • is patient and tolerant;
  • has high expectations of each child's learning and behaviour;
  • can work positively in a team;
  • engages sympathetically with children with SEN;
  • demonstrates strong organisational skills;
  • has the ability to work on their own initiative within a small team.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work with other agencies and professionals who are involved in the education of this child. Experience of working with children with ADHD and ASD would be beneficial.

The hours of work are from 12.00pm to 3.10pm Monday to Friday term time only.
