About the Role

The role of Senior Instructor at Buzz Active will consist of TEaching RYA sessions and courses to a range of clients. Organising the daily provision of activities and managing the instructional team. Reporting to the Duty manager, dealing with clients from a range of backgrounds, including private clients and large groups bookings. Dealing with enquiries, taking bookings and liaising with senior staff. A Successful applicant will have had some experience as an SI previously. Some basic maintenance of fleet equipment and general site security. The role will be seasonal full time post, based on the seasonal nature of the work, hours average out at 37 a week, however the start and finish of the season are quieter and in Peak season you will be required to work a 6 day week. This post is from mid-March to the end of October. We deliver RYA, BC and BSUPA courses and as such successful candidates Must have Both RYA sailing and windsurfing qualifications, one of which must be Senior Instructor endorsed, RYA Safety boat certificate, a minimum of 8 hour First aid qualification, SRC VHF, and are preferred to have at least Level 1 British canoeing UKCC paddle sport coach, though this is not essential.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
