About the Role

Roselands Infants School is a three forms of entry school a stone’s throw from the beautiful Eastbourne sea front. The school formed a federation with Stafford Junior School becoming part of the Roselands and Stafford Federation from September 2015 and the two schools now work closely together sharing expertise and good practice.

Roselands pupils are well behaved, polite and enthusiastic about their learning and are supported by a committed, positive and hard-working staff team who believe in putting the children at the heart of everything they do. As a TA you will support children in small groups or individuals with a range of needs.

You will support their learning, contribute to their behaviour management and help maintain the safety of the pupils. We are keen to hear from applicants with experience of working with children with special educational needs, in particular, those on the autistic spectrum. Training will be provided in this area.

We are aiming to recruit two teaching assistants to join us as soon as possible.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
