About the Role
College Central requires a dedicated and innovative teacher of Computing to join their KS4 Hastings team.
Working with students at significant risk of permanent exclusion the ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a robust sense of humour and an ability to teach at least two of the following subjects at GCSE level Computing, Maths, Technology or Art is desirable.
The role will also require the successful candidate to lead whole school delivery of Computing and to develop a strategic approach to College Central becoming a truly 21st century teaching and learning environment.
The role also attracts a TLR2 allowance of 2,613 per annum and also a SEN allowance of 2,062 per annum.
This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009.
The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
