Teaching Assistant Hours of work: 25 hours per week Working pattern: Part-time and Term-time only (As the position is part-time and term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

About the Role

College Central requires an enthusiastic resilient Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor to support students at our Hastings campus. Working with students at significant risk of permanent exclusion the ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a robust sense of humour and an interest in Outdoor Education ,practical subjects or academic subjects . The role will support the staff in delivering innovative classroom experiences for  groups of 8 students. Educational experience is desirable but an interest in supporting hard to reach students is essential.

This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations inconnection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, bycompleting a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
