Residential school for young people with autism requires learning support assistants to assist in the classroom setting, working in a beautifully set school in the Hassocks area.

As a Learning Support Assistants have a varied role within the classroom and school, including:

• assisting the Teacher in lessons
• working with individuals or groups of students
• organising and running activities
• producing displays and resources

As an SEN Teaching Assistants you must be a great team player and an excellent communicator as some of our students may display challenging behaviour and need support on a one-to-one basis.

These Teaching Assistant roles require that candidates must display some knowledge of special educational needs, in particular children with autistic spectrum conditions. Level 3 Diploma in Specialist support in Teaching and Learnng in schools or equivalent is desirable but please apply if you do not hold the qualification and have experience.

All applicants for Learning Support Assistant will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
