As a core member of the Transport Projects & Engineering team you will support those planning, maintaining, promoting and developing the local transport network. Working on high profile projects vital to keeping our city moving. In addition to the technical project support aspects of the role, you will need to work closely with our key partner organisations including local bus and train operators, local communities and a variety of teams from across the City Council. Good communication skills, both speaking and in writing, and experience of stakeholder engagement are therefore important attributes. The role makes an important contribution to the work of our busy City Transport Department so an ability to work within a team environment is essential as is experience of budget and contract management.
