About the Role

We Are: College Central the Pupil Referral Unit for East Sussex, and part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust. Our outcomes place us as one of the highest achieving PRU’s in the country and as part of our multi-academy trust we form a group of high achieving Good and Outstanding specialist provision. Offering provision to over 100 students across our sites in Hastings and Eastbourne we are a supportive team with strong structures and high expectations.

You Are: An outstanding teacher with proven classroom outcomes in either mainstream or specialist provision. You have a background in teaching ICT, Computing or allied subjects and the ability to teach at least two of the following Computing, Maths and Science. You will have a clear vision for the delivery of digital  learning in our challenging setting and will be committed to our ongoing project to develop a 21st century approach to teaching and learning.

The Job: The role is to head up the delivery of Computing/Digital Literacy subjects across both College Central sites but the teaching role will take place at our Eastbourne OR Hastings site(s) (subject to other roles). Day to day responsibility for the teaching of computing alongside strategic responsibility for embedding digital approaches at the heart of our new planned curriculum makes this an exciting challenge.

The position will attract a SEN allowance of 2,062 per annum and a TLR 2 allowance of 2,613 per annum.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
