About the Role

The Eastbourne Academy has just received its Ofsted report (January 2017) confirming once again that it is a Good school. The Lead Inspector commented: “Pupils are immensely proud of their school and are keen to learn.” We have regularly won awards for national achievement and our rebuilding programme was completed in 2013 -14 so that you will be working in state of the art facilities. We are a national leader in the operation of a one to one tablet computer scheme for students and staff.

We are an exceptionally friendly and supportive staff group and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to develop and co-ordinate our citizenship and student leadership. This post would suit an experienced qualified teacher.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Can provide outstanding quality learning and teaching in Sphere (Social Personal Health Economic & Religious Education), modelling excellence the classroom.
• Are passionate, dynamic, inspirational and impart a joy for learning.
• Are committed to all learners whatever their background.
• Can make a positive contribution to our students.

Attached to this post is a TLR2 allowance worth up to 6,450 per annum.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
