About the Role

The role of the Early Years Information Officer is to assist and support the Early Years Funding Manager in developing and monitoring the childcare workforce by offering independent information, advice and guidance in relation to qualifications and training for childcare providers.

You will be a good communicator and able to demonstrate a high level of IT skills including the knowledge of various software packages and MS Office skills. This post requires particular strength in the use of  Excel and the ability to use Access/Sequel databases, including the analysing of data.  A  good working knowledge of the local authority’s SAP payment system is also essential. 

Excellent customer service skills are essential as the successful candidate will need the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people as well as providing support to Early Years Providers.

This is a full time post.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
