About the Role

St Wilfrid’s hospice is a local charity providing skilled and compassionate care and treatment for all patients with complex needs as they near the end of life.

An opportunity has arisen for the post of part time housekeeper /cleaner at weekends and bank holidays. The successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate knowledge of cleaning and laundry duties, although training will be given for specifics relating to the position.

You will provide vital cleaning to our patient rooms and other areas where required. Duties will include all aspects of cleaning including polishing, dusting, vacuuming and mopping.  Washing, drying and ironing of the laundry and replenishing the linen cupboards accordingly.

Good working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures would be advantageous together with the ability to engage in safe and secure working practices at all times.

We are offering 27 days annual leave (pro rata) increasing with length of service and pension arrangement.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
