About the Role

Class Teacher required for September 2017

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a teacher to join our committed staff team. We are a popular, heavily over-subscribed school which is well respected in the local community. This is an exciting time for us as we move into a new era, as a newly formed two-form entry school, with wonderful new purpose built accommodation. The next few years will be an adventure with immense professional development opportunities as we continue our partnership with the NAHT Aspire programme. The position would suit NQTs.

Judged as GOOD by Ofsted in July 2014, we are seeking to appoint a class teacher, who is an excellent practitioner, and has an uncompromising passion to secure academic and emotional progress for every child.

Applicants should fully support the distinctive Christian ethos of the school.

The successful candidates will need to: - Be passionate about teaching - Have good teaching skills with a commitment to achieving outstanding - Be highly motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude - Understand what high standards look like and how to attain them - Be an effective team member with a good sense of humour

The Haven VA CE/Methodist Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.   An offer of appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of the pre-employment checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Additional Information

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.   This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
