Assistant Accountant – Property Sector

Brighton

£25-30k per annum + full study support (if desired) + excellent holiday allowance

A leading Property Management business based in central Brighton are seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Accountant to join their team.

This is a broad facing role, with close contact to the FC, which would suit a candidate with existing experience of the property management or estate agency sector.

Working within a small team, you'll have a fantastic exposure to all financial aspects of this busy and dynamic business.

The position comes with excellent progression opportunities, with the chance to grow and develop internally and full study support on offer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing standard monthly and quarterly client statements.
• Transferring of client funds via the property management software then via on-line banking.
• Dealing with client, property manager and tenant queries.
• Assistance with the closing of old and the creation of new managements – interpreting financial data from previous agents and providing reconciliations to pass over to new agents.
• Assistance towards producing non-standard monthly and quarterly client statements.
• Preparation of service charge year ends.
• Assistance towards the preparation of VAT returns.
• Providing cover to daily system reconciliation and monthly RICS reconciliation.
