About the Role

Robertsbridge Community College is the smallest secondary school in East Sussex.

We are seeking to appoint a Data Officer, to develop and oversee the use of pupil assessment and progress data.

The main responsibilities of this role are to support data analysis and produce reports for the College using our electronic data management systems (currently SIMS and SISRA). Previous experience of either or both of these systems would be an advantage but not necessary. Additionally, experience of data input, spread sheets and databases would be useful, although full training will be provided on all systems.   This is a 20 hours per week post - ideally five four hour days - but alternative working patterns will be considered. This is a term time only position, paid for 43.95 weeks per annum. Grade 5 16,875 - 17,891 pro rata.  (7,709 - 8,173 actual)

If you would like an informal conversation, or would like to tour the College, we would welcome your visit. Please contact me at the College

The closing date for applications is Fri 18th November 2016, with interviews happening during the following week.

Additional Information

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.   This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).

East Sussex County Council is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all suitable candidates, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. All applications are treated on merit.
