About the Role

We have a vacancy for a proactive, self-motivated and flexible person to work as our Premises Officer for the Library and Information Service.

Do you have experience of a similar role and have good time management skills as the post supports a number of libraries in the North and East of the County?

The post holder will be required to work with customers, contractors and partners to ensure the safe use of the library buildings and their security.

The post is for 37 hours a week, working one Saturday every fortnight, for which an increment is paid and is based at Hastings.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following key skills and abilities:

- Manual handling

- General building maintenance

- Cleaning

- ICT

- Driving licence

- Excellent customer service

- Understanding of health and safety regulations

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
