About the Role

COVER SUPERVISOR

30 hours per week - 8.30 - 15.25 to be worked over five days, term time only.

We are seeking to appoint an engaging and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our well established and successful team to provide cover supervision for absent teaching staff.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills in line with the job description and person specification and be responsible for:

  • Delivering work that has been set for the class by the teacher
  • Managing the behaviour of the pupils that you are supervising to ensure a constructive learning environment
  • Deal with any immediate issues according to the colleges policies and procedures
  • To take the register within the first few minutes of each lesson

The successful applicant should demonstrate a keen interest in teaching and learning and be willing to develop curricular knowledge as required by the College. You will be flexible, enjoy variety and be able to cover classes in KS3 and KS4 across all curriculim areas. You will also cover tutor groups including PSHE; duties when required and occasional invigilation. The role of Cover Supervisor is a busy and demanding one.
