Senior Payroll & Systems Officer

£30,000-33,000 + bonus

A long-standing organisation with a presence across the country is actively seeking a dedicated payroll professional to join their growing business. Working closely alongside an experienced colleague, you will be responsible for maintaining a payroll of around 1,300 monthly paid employees. Accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality are of course key attributes required for this role.

Overview of role:

• Ensuring the payroll is run efficiently, accurately and all payments are made in a timely manner
• Keeping informed of all relevant PAYE and payroll changes in order to provide a prompt, efficient and accurate service across the Company, including deductions, attachment of earnings, SSP, SMP, staff loans etc.
• Ensure statutory payroll requirements are met and best practice is adopted and complied with
• Producing monthly analysis of payroll figures using Excel spreadsheets as required
• Completing end of month and end of year returns and PAYE procedures
• To identify and implement developments required in the payroll system/processes and liaise with software provider to resolve any issues

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within a payroll environment and have excellent system skills.
