A progressive Top 10 firm with an excellent work/life balance is looking for a Part-Qualified Tax Trainee for their Southampton office.

Within a 10 minute walk of Southampton train station and a city centre office location in a bright, modern building with public car parking situated next to the office, meaning that this job is easily commutable from most of Hampshire.

Continued study support will be provided for the ACA/ACCA/CA, with the potential to go on to study towards the CTA. In-house technical training will also be provided, meaning that this is an excellent opportunity to increase your Private Client knowledge within a Top 10 environment.

This role will involve a mixture of both compliance and planning within Private Client, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to your own portfolio of clients. These may include a mixture of non-doms, trusts and sole traders. There will also be the opportunity to supervise more junior members of staff on occasion, learning the skills to progress up the career ladder into management.

About You

• You could be part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CA and/or have completed the ATT
• Prior experience within Private Client compliance is a must have
• You could have had some exposure to tax planning or advisory work
• Technical knowledge of CGT, IHT and business tax aspects
• Previous experience of non-doms, non-residence and Partnerships is desirable but not essential
• Confident communicating with Clients, Managers and Partners, as well as other Third Parties.

The salary associated with this role has been set by the agency and should, therefore, be viewed as market rate.
