As a Leading home dispensing company working to support the NHS, we are looking for an Operations Manager at our National Distribution Centre based in Nottingham. In exchange for a competitive salary, company car and fantastic package of benefits. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Operations Director.  In this role you will be responsible for the National Distribution Centre leadership and driving operational excellence. Driving a culture of high performance and development. analysing data and optimising resources. Embedding a culture of Continuous Improvement and Compliance, health and safety and regulatory responsibilities. This is a newly created role and is an exciting period of growth for Fittleworth Medical where developing our supply chain is key to our success.

What you need to be successful:

  • Proven success running a National Distribution Centre at senior level (+100 FTE)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain or Operations (desirable)
  • Continuous Improvement accredited i.e. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable)
  • A successful track record of delivering a first class Supply Chain service
  • Experience with Digital Transformation and Process Improvement, leading key Supply Chain improvements such as automation, technology and WMS solutions
  • A passionate and engaging leader with strong people management and development experience
  • Experience collaborating and influencing Senior Stakeholders
  • Technically savvy; previous experience with ERP platform i.e. Microsoft dynamics (desirable)
  • Experience of working with Supply Chain Partners to help support and drive solutions.
